Weight Gain May Have Health Benefits

The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia has discovered that patients over their recommended weight, may be at less risk of dying from heart disease and cancers. Research was conducted on 2.4 million adults and results show that 1.6 million people overweight were less likely to die from tuberculosis and Alzheimer’s disease. However, they have a higher risk of dying from diabetes and kidney disease.
