World Diabetes Day – November 14th
In December 2006, the United Nations finally recognized diabetes as a “debilitating and costly disease.” November 14, 2007 marks the first observance of World Diabetes Day by the United Nations. In celebration of this historical event, the Empire State Building, located in New York City, will dawn blue lights in the shape of a circle. The blue circle is the official logo for World Diabetes Day.
